Don Brown’s Legacy
Rev. Don Brown served as a pastor in the New Jersey Greater Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church for 42 years. Throughout his life and in everything he did, Don exhibited kindness and compassion toward all he knew; he had a special place in his heart for the less fortunate. Don was a calming and positive force in any situation. He was able to see both sides of a story and could find a solution to any problem. He lent these incredible attributes in service to CUMAC’s board of trustees from 1999 to 2013, leading as board president between 2001 and 2006. During this time he dedicated his incredible passion and insight to help CUMAC grow into one of the largest feeding programs in all of northern New Jersey. His legacy lives on every single time CUMAC feeds somebody who would otherwise have gone hungry. Through the Don Brown Memorial Scholarship, his influence as a changemaker will live on ad infinitum.
