ALERT: CUMAC FACES FOOD SHORTAGE
CUMAC is experiencing a major food shortage in the midst of its busiest year to date. With the cost of living on the rise and more families turning to places like CUMAC to make ends meet, your help is needed more than ever. Our pantry is now serving over 3,000 people a month. Unfortunately, the increase in need has also been met with a decline in donations. The last couple of months have been particularly troubling and CUMAC's food supply is running dangerously low. The community is feeling the impact too: many pantries have been forced to cap the number of clients they serve or shut down their services. Fortunately we haven't turned any one away, but we have reduced the amount of food given in our grocery bags. And if this keeps up, CUMAC may be forced to close its doors. That means that many of our neighbors are at risk of going hungry this summer. 

As we work diligently to keep up with the growing need in our community, we ask you to join us in the fight against hunger. Your support can help us feed people & change lives this month. Here are a few ways you can help protect families in need: 
  • Hold a food drive or collection for CUMAC. With food supplies running low, every can of food makes a difference. Check out our most needed food items here or learn how to hold a collection.
  • Make a financial donation. CUMAC is able to buy food at bulk rates so every dollar can go a long way! Donate here and help change a life.
